Even though I think the government should stay out of our lives and our companies, here is an alternative plan that is a lot better than what they are doing........!There's about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1 million apiece severance with stipulations.
1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.
3) They either buy a house/pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.
4) They all buy around the world airfares and scenic plane tours - Aerospace industry fixed.
This would be a third of the cost for just the AIG bonuses!
And think of the boom to the swing club industry. All that free time and energy to burn!!
